Hello, I’m Jama Ahmed, the founder of Rise2Care Services Pty. Ltd. My journey into the healthcare industry began with a personal experience that profoundly changed my life. I previously worked in a completely different field, driving trucks and operating forklifts in a warehouse. However, a severe back injury altered my path. The pain was excruciating, leading to multiple cortisone injections and heavy medication, including antidepressants.
After enduring two surgeries, the first of which resulted in a medical error and immense trauma, doctors were uncertain about my recovery. Despite the odds, I persevered. Each day was a struggle, with increasing pain and reliance on a walking stick at just 37 years old. Fortunately, the second surgery was a success, and I slowly began to rebuild my life. Through perseverance and dedication, I now frequent the gym, lifting weights, and reclaiming my strength.
This transformative experience led me to the disability sector. I firmly believe that everyone deserves a quality life, as I am a living testament to resilience. My passion for this work is deeply personal, stemming from my journey of overcoming challenges. I am committed to making a positive impact and serving others with empathy and understanding.
